Personal Pools Project 3

This awe-inspiring project was designed by the celebrated building designer Chris Clout and expertly executed by the team at Personal Pools. With a client brief to deliver something “better than anything you have ever done before”, this outstanding pool recently won Remco Pool of the Year, Best Innovative Pool or Spa, Best Residential Concrete Pool and Spa Combination over $100,000, Best Residential Concrete Pool Over $150,000, and Best Lighting Feature at the 2022 MPBAA Awards of Excellence.

Featuring an incredible curved design that required highly detailed and complex construction, this modern residential resort revolutionises contemporary pool design and was built using a range of materials, including acrylic panels, Italian tiles and limestone.

Filling the entire courtyard between the house and the outdoor kitchen, the pool is accessible from the first floor and can be viewed from all four storeys of the beachside dream home. With a glass wall that wraps around the exterior of the pool, this blue paradise has a remarkable, infinite quality.

The elevated semicircle design allows for an abundance of space surrounding the pool and makes use of every inch of the area. Featuring an ultra-modern alfresco bar, dedicated sun lounge area and a spot for a barbecue and pizza oven, there is plenty of room for poolside entertaining day or night – thanks to stunning light fixtures that light up the space for outdoor dining or relaxing on balmy summer evenings.

Greenery is also an important aspect of the design and lush plant life has been beautifully incorporated. A unique glass cut-out in the garden offers a circular window looking down into the pool, while the exterior pool wall is decorated in shrubbery and vines that give this feat of industry an earthy feel.
