This project boasts the largest outdoor swimming pool in any resort on the Mornington Peninsula, offering guests an unparalleled aquatic experience. The scale of the pool contributes to its uniqueness, providing ample space for relaxation and recreation while enhancing the hotel’s appeal as a premier destination. Hotel Sorrento is an iconic establishment that recently underwent an expansion. Integral to this expansion was the desire for a large pool area featuring a terrace space and poolside bar.

The 30m pool was meticulously crafted, integrated with a terrace for lounging and a sophisticated poolside bar. In a bid to modernise the look while preserving the existing heritage features, a Mediterranean vibe was introduced.

The pool was lined in opulent light green mosaic tiles. Inspired by the surrounding olive trees, this choice of pool tiles added a touch of luxury. The addition of creamy travertine stone pavers around the pool perfectly complements both the pool tile and the building’s limestone, creating a cohesive, contemporary Mediterranean aesthetic.

A bench seat spanning the length of the pool adds an additional element of comfort and functionality. Overall, the integration of cutting-edge technology, expansive scale and thoughtful design elements distinguishes this pool project as a standout feature of the Hotel Sorrento redevelopment, offering guests a one-of-a-kind aquatic experience in a luxurious and inviting setting.
