MOULDED LANDSCAPE RETREAT: A NATIVE WILDERNESS IN A SUBURBAN AUSTRALIAN BACKYARD

When it comes to designing your next landscaping project, it’s easy enough to plan for a flat and beautiful garden, with little regard to the site conditions and limitations in effect. But with this recent project by Greenr Landscapes, the beauty is in the artistic moulding of a natural retreat around the already existing landscape. Rather than ripping it out and making it flat, the team at Greenr moulded the project around the existing sloped landscape, making the project feel elegant and natural.

Using locally sourced Bluestone boulders, local Australian plant species and recycled railway sleepers for bench seats, this project is both natural and sustainable, turning a suburban block into a native Australian Bush scape, only to grow more beautiful as it ages.

Greenr Landscapes was able to stay flexible and keep open collaborative planning with the client to ensure that the project moulded naturally with the available landscape and evolved into the masterpiece you now see.
