The family orientated outdoor design featured combines the pool, spa and surrounding landscape. In response to the client’s brief, the design process was made easy for the client because they could view and experience exactly what their proposed outdoor investment would look like, day and night, prior to commencement of construction through Goldfi sh Pools & Landscape’s ‘Conceptual Design Package’, a 3D computer generated design program – the latest and the best in communicative design.

The swimming pool equipment was chosen for minimal, effi cient pool maintenance. The in-fl oor cleaning system eliminates the need to manually vacuum the pool, and acts as a passive circulation system; the salt chlorinator automatically sanitises the pool so there is no need to add chlorine every week and the automatic pH control maintains the water balance. A gas heater and solar heating system allows the pool owners to enjoy their outdoor investment all year round. An in-house push button touchpad control system was also installed for complete care of this stunning pool and outdoor area.

The poolside landscape includes Merbau timber decking and plant material to soften the area that would otherwise be all hard surfaces. The poolside landscape has been orientated for lounging by the pool and the built-in honed Bluestone bench seat/daybed allows for ample poolside seating, as well as being an added feature incorporated into the landscape. The landscape is effectively framed by a charcoal coloured timber batten screen to the surrounding boundaries.

LED pool lights illuminate the pool and spa at night resulting in an ambient blue haze that complements the fully tiled pool and surrounding landscape. Thoughtful garden lighting positioned within the pool surrounds lights up the entire project and draws particular attention to the poolside feature backdrop, a split-face bluestone-clad wall behind the pool, and selected plant material.
