A beautiful bespoke construction, this Hawthorn home called for a pool and outdoor space that would be built to the same exacting standards. Renowned for its ability to combine creativity and quality, Baden Pools was an obvious choice for the project.
The brief called for a pool that could be used for family fun and entertaining, while bringing aesthetic appeal to the outdoor space. Working in conjunction with home designer – Melbourne Homes of Distinction – and landscape designer Jack Merlo Design, Baden Pools has achieved a pool that is the perfect accompaniment to the impressive home.
Clever positioning and fully-frameless glass fencing allow the pool to be viewed from within the home’s internal living space. The positioning also creates a seamless transition from the indoors to outdoors, and retains lawn space for the children to play.
In addition to the frameless glass, the pool also features rectangular galvanised steel posts on one side, and galvanised steel screens on another, adding visual interest to the space.
The pool has been further integrated with the home by continuing the clean lines and modern materials, such as concrete, steel, glass and timber. The 8.4m x 3.4 pool and 3.4m x 1.8m spa are fully-tiled and surrounded by bluestone coping.
Using the Zodiac Aqualink system, the homeowners can remotely operate and monitor the Hurlcon sand filter, pump salt chlorinator and gas heater, as well as the Spa Electrics lighting and Austral Solar heating.
A Remco PoolGuard cover helps to keep the water clean and sanitary, while reducing evaporation, heating costs and chemical usage.
Baden Pools was established in 1977 by Bruce Badenhop, with his with sons Rohan and Luke joining the company more than 20 years ago. The team services the Mornington Peninsula, as well as Melbourne’s city, bayside and south-eastern suburbs.
The company specialises in the design and construction of high-quality concrete swimming pools and spas, and can also cater to clients who desire a complete pool and landscape package.
