ARCHITECTURAL HARMONY

This project was about delivering to an exact vision, designing an intimate oasis that doesn’t compromise on quality, efficiency or aesthetics. The client envisioned a pool that would blend effortlessly with the architectural design of their home, creating an extension of their living space rather than simply an addition. The aim was to craft a stunning and inviting space that felt both luxurious and practical. A sleek, modern ambience guided every decision, with a focus on high-quality materials and low-maintenance equipment. Year-round usability was also a key factor. The homeowner desired more than a seasonal amenity; they wanted the pool to be a central feature of their lifestyle.

Visibility from major living areas was a critical design element. From the kitchen and lounge to the entire outdoor entertaining area, the pool had to be a constantly eye-catching and alluring presence. Above all, the goal was to create a pool space that not only complemented the home but elevated the general aesthetic, crafting a space for relaxation, entertainment and everyday enjoyment.

The home adorning the pool space is a heritage home, thoughtfully renovated to align with the client’s modern lifestyle while honouring the property’s original character. To blend seamlessly, the pool’s design was intentionally refined, featuring clean lines and calming elements that enhance the home’s elegance and promote a sense of serenity. Maintaining sight with the living and entertainment areas was critical in establishing a focal point and enhancing the overall flow of the home. This seamless transition between indoors and out was a key design principle, uniting natural elements like water and light with the home’s structural heritage. The finished result is a pool that feels organically integrated – both visually striking and functionally enriching to daily life.

The inclusion of a water feature introduces a soothing, peaceful ambiance that lifts the tranquillity of the outdoor space. But what makes this pool truly distinctive is the glass window that separates it from the kitchen. This design element fosters a strong sense of indoor/outdoor living, ushering the serenity of nature into the home.

This project is distinguished by its intentional balance of innovative design and practical excellence. A standout feature is the integration of a Remco automatic slat cover, increasing the pool’s visual appeal while upholding key client priorities, including low maintenance, year-round usability and safety. The shape and depth of the pool were carefully designed and implemented to create a harmonious balance of beauty and practicality. Though compact at 4m x 3.67m, this pool offers all the functionality of a larger design, positioned to make the most of a cosy corner in the outdoor space.

The geometric complexity, defined by angular contours and varying depths, provided unique construction challenges that required the Personal Pools team to adapt and think creatively throughout the build. The team’s meticulous approach not only assured structural precision but also reinforced the architectural blend between the home and the pool. The final result is a visual masterpiece with a high level of functionality and a clear reflection of the client’s lifestyle, needs and desires.

To keep the space a sparkling eye catcher, the team installed a Hayward cartridge filter, a QuickClean venturi and a premium Pool Lab sanitiser – erasing the worry surrounding upkeep, cleanliness and maintenance. In efforts to design a pool that can be enjoyed year-round, the space possesses a BWT heat pump as well as a Dab pump. With Spa Electrics LED lights and a Pool Lab ASP control system, the pool embodies modern elegance, creating a courtyard focal point that is visually beautiful and ready to be dipped in every day of the year.
