Seaspray Pools Project 6

This project was designed and constructed to meet the client’s very specific brief. To fulfil the needs of the homeowner, the pool needed to be easy to use and to maintain, be usable with a growing family and of course look amazing. The usability of this swimming pool was made easy through multiple units installed. The project included a full Cooke in-floor cleaning system, water management system, chemical management system, Aqualink automation, as well as solar and gas heating thht allowed the project to be used any month of the year. The addition of these units was viewed as an investment by the client as they allowed the family to spend more time enjoying the swimming pool than looking after it.

As the clients were also very active and into sports, the addition of the Aqualink automation proved crucial in their use of their spa. The Aqualink automation allowed them to access their pool and remotely turn on the gas heater and initiate the spa on their way home, allowing them to walk in the door then jump into a heated spa for their sports rehabilitation. The spa has a full perimeter seat that houses eight venturi jets, which have been looped to ensure even distribution of heated water within the spa. Every aspect of the spa has been designed to ensure there is no dull area, so that no matter what position you sit in, you will have access to the jet and blower system.

The design of the swimming pool includes an L shape ledge which blends into a set of steps wrapping around the spa. This design feature ensures walking access throughout the project for the client’s young family, and also seating which is positioned to look back at the home and alfresco area. From the step area there is also a 400-millimetre-deep beach area that has two solar returns positioned within it. This area was designed as the perfect depth for our client to lie back and read a book on a summer’s day.

In addition to all these advanced features, a glass mosaic white/pearl tile was selected as the internal interior for the project. This tile selection allowed a water colour that – regardless of the weather or time of day – will create a warm inviting colour. Once this colour was selected, all in-floor heads, returns, and fittings were colour coated to suit this tile theme, creating a consistent undisturbed colour throughout the swimming pool. These tiles are highlighted by four led lights installed within the project, on the house side of the project so that no glare would be observed from the home.
