This family-fun pool was created by Showpiece Pools in collaboration with the talented interior designer and stylist K&Co Projects, and the home builder, Verve Design Construct. It seamlessly forms part of the new coastal home’s footprint, adding a luxury holiday feel. With its placement hard up against the front entrance of the house, the pool is an instant focal point – and a stunning one at that.

Though seemingly simple – yet breathtaking – at first, this project required a wealth of clever construction solutions to achieve the homeowners’ request, which was for the concrete pool to sit level with their entertainment deck on the second storey, more than three metres above the natural ground level. The end result is a perfect retreat-like addition to the outdoor area, visually accessible through floor-to-ceiling windows in the main living room and entryway corridor.

White mosaic tiling complements the pool furniture, fence and the home’s external cladding for a cohesive aesthetic. For further consistency, this tiling forms the spa’s barrier and the generous pool ledge, where family members can wade and relax.

Hydronic heating keeps the pool and spa warm, a revolutionary and proven heating method that achieves perfect heat at an extremely low cost. To top off these impressive features, a pool window integrates the downstairs wine cellar, providing a full view into the 2.8m-deep pool and allowing the soft light from above the surface to shine through, bringing a mystical vibe into the room.
