Following the brief for a functional pool that the clients were able to use all year round, the team from Showpiece Pools has certainly excelled with this magnificent, self-cleaning, energy-efficient lap pool. The pool is fitted with several heat pumps that are powered by the house’s solar system. An immense, automatic Remco Swimroll Pool Cover helps to retain the heat and save on evaporation. Through the inclusion of a second layer of core-filled blocks around the perimeter of the pool with a foam cavity between the layers, ultimate energy saving was achieved.

The pool was designed along with the plans of the house and was purposefully created in a space that can be viewed from all living areas of the large family home. The pool area harmonises beautifully with the house exterior and its placement offers exemplary views of the surrounding countryside. The entire pool and beach area are fully tiled in a white, 23 mm glass mosaic tiles. This gives a resort-like style to the pool and creates a luscious blue colouring to the water.
