The clients’ wish was for a functional and aesthetically pleasing outdoor space for entertaining. Joshua Schwal and his team have created a beautiful area, with a decadent space surrounding the pool, making it the ideal place to entertain family and friends.

The 8m x 4m fully-tiled pool also has a luxurious spa that is perfect for pure relaxation, as well as a full-length swimout, which allows the whole family to enjoy the pool.

The materials that have been used allow the pool area to flow seamlessly from the existing home, making the large open area feel like an extension of the existing house. A large deck runs from the house to the pool, connecting the outdoor and the indoor spaces. Bluestone paving stones have also been used to keep with the light and understated feel of the pool’s surrounds.

White lounge chairs lie on the decking area, which contrast beautifully with the bright striking colours used in the pool, and a stunning water feature in the form of an urn running into the pool gives it a central focus without taking away from the rest of the outdoor area. The urn is also incorporated into the pool filtration, making it easy to maintain. Southern Cross Swimming Pools has not only created something breathtakingly beautiful, but also convenient, low-maintenance and with energy saving features. The pool has been fitted with solar and gas heating, ensuring that no matter what time of year, it will always be a pleasant temperature.

Spa Electrics LED lights allow the pool to stand out as a feature at night, as well as enable the pool to be safely lit for the kids to swim in on those hot summer nights. A Pentair cartridge and pump combination has also been installed to ensure the pool is always clean and tidy. All of these features are cleverly controlled with a handheld Aqualink remote system, making it fuss-free and easy to use for every member of the family.
