This project was designed and built by local builder Willowglenn Homes. Located on the Mornington Peninsula, the property needed to harmonise with the picturesque landscape. The finished abode features an elegant outdoor space that the residents can enjoy throughout the year, regardless of the season.

Yarrabee & Castlemaine Stone Solutions’ flamed ‘Fantasy’ granite was selected for the paving; with a light grey base and dark veining, the granite perfectly complements the white exterior of the house and its stark
black roof. The pavers were produced in 600mm squares and 900mm x 1200mm rectangles to produce a freelength pattern that’s suited to large areas.

An undercover outdoor dining area houses a striking fireplace that’s clad in Yarrabee & Castlemaine Stone Solutions’ ‘Dunolly’ stone material, which is ideal for feature walls due to its random pattern. The stone beautifully blends in with the backyard’s natural surroundings, as well as the granite pavers, which are similar in tone.The focal point of the outdoor space is the luxurious 20m x 6m statement pool, which features exquisite glass interior tiles and ‘Raven’ granite coping.

This breathtaking project was developed in collaboration with several companies. Designed by David Bennett of Gardens by Design, the peaceful oasis located on the outskirts of Melbourne, showcases landscaping and paving by Phil Brock from Prestige Gardens, and a stunning pool by Serenity Pools.

Limestone by Yarrabee & Castlemaine Stone Solutions was used for the general paving and coping, as well as the lining of the pool’s interior. The clean grout lines of the pool’s sawn-edge interior invite guests to slip into the crystal clear water. The pool’s visual appeal is further enhanced by the ‘Hotham Strata’ wall cladding, which extends from the pool floor to create a stunning water feature that delivers a trickling waterfall effect.

‘Esna’, a tumbled limestone, appears throughout the undercover porch, verandah and alfresco kitchen. The acid etched version of this limestone ‘Edfu’, was used in all unsheltered areas to achieve slip resistance and textural variation.

Available in a wide range of colours, textures and styles, the company’s versatile cladding solutions are perfect for garden walls, fireplace surrounds and water features, as well as fences and general outdoor construction.

The company’s Oakleigh showroom displays more than 600 square metres of stone paving, with many new stone wall-cladding products now also available. Displays are placed throughout the showroom to demonstrate how you can incorporate stone into your outdoor project.
