This stunning backyard retreat designed by the expert team at Sabo Design exudes serenity, providing the ultimate private oasis. The owners wanted to maximise use of their outdoor space while also creating a striking view from inside the house. By including practical features and materials that complement the Federation-style home, the design achieves a perfect balance of form and function. Under the guidance of Sabo Design, Joel Kean from Aqua Dreamz constructed the 5m x 2.8m concrete pool, and Ben Wilson from Garden Constructions completed the landscaping and built the adjoining relaxation area.

An additional post was positioned at the back of the house to allow for the installation of glass pool fencing, creating a seamless transition between inside and outside spaces. This aspect of the design was integral to creating a sense of openness in the backyard and establishing a natural progression from the home to the outdoors. Additionally, the pool was designed so that the tri-spout water feature is visible when walking down the hallway of the house, and upon entering the living room the owners are met with the soothing sound of trickling water.

The highly skilled team at Sabo Design worked meticulously to ensure the project exceeded the clients’ expectations. Paying close attention to the dimensions of the design, the company was able to achieve visual and functional harmony throughout the pool, garden and lawn. Tying the outdoor design to the home, the raised recycled red-brick wall positioned at the rear of the pool was constructed using bricks from the original garden.
