Extensive renovations to this modern family home in inner Melbourne yielded a significant view of the pre-existing pool/spa and tennis court. In keeping with the upgrades to its surroundings, Neil Architecture designed the pool and spa in conjunction with Falcon Pools & Landscapes, who built it with a new fully-tiled interior and complete modernisation of the pool equipment. The resulting renovation delivers a pool and spa with a clean and modern aesthetic that will continue to look like new for years to come.

The existing spa was filled in and its internals were sandblasted to prepare for the light-coloured glass mosaic tiles, which line the pool as well. The spa also features two spill-over sides. The rounded internal corners of the pool did not fit the new look of the home and were thus squared off.

The new spa was built within the shell of the existing pool with all new pipework hidden from view. New internal steps were also positioned beside the spa.

Measuring 8.7m x 3.7m, the pool has an internal gas heated spa, which is complete with Spa Electrics jets and multicoloured lights. The pool features an AquaLink controller with automatic valves, and an energy-saving Supreme solar heating system with a Supreme 600 Micron blanket and roller. For low-maintenance care, the pool includes a Paramount PV3 in-floor cleaning system.
