Falcon Pools & Landscapes Project 2
Falcon Pools makes the art of pool construction creative and simple. The company was founded in 1991 as a family-owned and -operated business, and has been architecturally designing, constructing and bringing families together with their perfect combination of style, simplicity and dedicated customer service for 20 years.
Specialising in concrete swimming pools and utilising some of the industry’s best suppliers, Falcon Pools offers a unique range of products available for your pool’s filtration, sanitisation and heating options, as well as an outstanding range of interior choices, all backed with some of the best warranties available.
Constructing swimming pools in the Mornington Peninsula and Melbourne metro areas, and working with some of Melbourne’s finest architects, builders, landscape designers and their own in-house design team, Falcon Pools has the ability to design a pool to suit any style, shape and requirement.
In conjunction with the client, the featured project shows how Falcon Pools has successfully created a unique pool ideal for entertaining, with a special beach area with spa jets for the clients’ children to play in, just as they requested. The clients also wanted a pool free of the chlorine smell, so the team installed a unique sanitisation system, MagnaPool, which uses a blend of magnesium and potassium minerals to simulate a day spa experience.
The pool stands out thanks to the rustic recycled timber sourced from the Sandringham Yacht Club, and the cabana/entertaining area with its raised platform decking, again sourced from reclaimed timbers. The dark blue tile used throughout the pool gives a warm yet striking appearance, with a touch of class, which is further accentuated through the use of LED lighting.
Adding to the unique aesthetics of the pool is the 2.4 metre sheer descent water feature. It is set against a stacked stone wall with LED lighting and a spillway under an acrylic platform that flows out into the pool.
To maximise cleaning efficiency, Falcon Pools has discreetly hidden a 10,000 litre water tank which is fed to the water leveller located in the pool, as well as installing an in-floor cleaning system. The 10m x 5m pool also has a full solar system, including a UV sensor located in the roof, which automatically turns the solar pump on and off as required. This is both energy-efficient and saves on the wear and tear of the pump.
