Good Soil & Water
For this project, Good Soil and Water created a family-friendly L-shaped pool that perfectly fulfils the clients’ brief. By elevating the end of the pool by 1.2m, the need for fencing was reduced and streamlined visual appeal was achieved.
Designed by Venn Architects to complement the home, the 12m x 6m pool is well-suited to the clients’ active young family. Black ceramic tiles were selected for the interior of the pool, which echoes the home’s cladding and windows.
The pool was positioned off-centre to accommodate the adjacent basketball court, lawn and alfresco area. It can be easily admired from within the home.
Designed by Julian McCarthy, the landscaping softens the pool’s edges to provide a lush, inviting space. Bluestone pavers join the home and outdoor space together for complete visual cohesion. The bluestone ledge that extends the length of the pool is perfect for relaxation.
Fitted with a rainwater auto-filler, solar heating, and a backup Pentair gas heater, the pool will remain topped-up and comfortable at all times.
Good Soil and Water began more than ten years ago with the backing of Good Constructions – an experienced construction company with more than 25 years of building experience. Building 12–15 pools per year, the company has won numerous awards from the Swimming Pool and Spa Association (SPASA) for its high-quality results.
While it specialises in the construction of premium concrete pools, Good Soil and Water can also install landscapes, which means you won’t need to liaise with numerous subcontractors. The company brings its renowned services to clients throughout metropolitan Melbourne, Bayside and the Mornington Peninsula.
