Spanning 25 metres across rolling lawns, this impressive pool proves that lap pools don’t have to be boring. For the fitness-loving homeowners, practicality was important, but they also didn’t want to sacrifice on aesthetics. Acquavita Pools & Spas created an athlete’s dream pool with plenty of country charm.

The pool had to be positioned to suit the slope of the land, while meeting the elevated level of the home’s deck. This resulted in an impressive above-ground pool that maximises views of the farm’s lush acreage. The vibrant interior is tiled in Ceramic Solutions’ ‘Sea Green’, and an unobtrusive black lap line runs the length of the pool, with a row of tiles for tumble turns.

The plinth board exterior has a woodgrain effect that perfectly complements the rural setting. The decking ties in beautifully with the timber home, and its lighter colour provides a subtle contrast.

As the farm relies on tank water, the inclusion of an evaporation-combating Sunbather solar mat cover and under deck roller was essential to aid with water-conservation.

After working in the pool industry for 12 years, Peter Matulich established Acquavita Pools & Spas in 2011.
