Conceptualised and constructed by Albatross Pools, this generous 10-metre wide octagonal pool was designed in conjunction with the homeowners to complement the property’s views and to be a place for family fun and entertainment now, and in the years to come. An entertainer’s dream, the pool design blends a traditional octagonal shape with a modern shallow wading area. The generous wading area is an example of the pool’s flexibility in design, and it also accommodates the homeowners’ young children by offering shallows where they can comfortably paddle. While rectangular pools have become very popular in recent years, the attractive octagonal shape adds a circular element to the pool design, breaking up the rectangular backyard area and drawing the homeowners’ eyes out over the view.

The pool features a satin smooth non-slip Aqualux pool interior, ideal for the homeowners’ children as they play in the spacious wading area. The colour of choice was ‘Bahama’, the darkest and richest blue available, adding a strong sense of style to the pool project. The natural decking surround and sandstone paving provide a contrasting aesthetic that further enhances the royal blue interior.
