Albatross Pools Project 19

Albatross Pools have created a private sanctuary amidst the existing alfresco, decking and trees for family enjoyment and entertainment. Being an avid swimmer, the client requested a 3m x 6m pool with a 2m depth. Though the team encountered serious amounts of rock during excavation, the flexibility of Albatross Pools’ method means it was able to achieve a depth of 1.2m to 2m. The addition of a 2m x 0.5m swim-out entry creates the perfect seating space to relax and chat, without interrupting the swimmable area of the pool.

Integrating the existing elements with the perfect size of pool required precision planning to avoid encountering constraints because of the easement. Some new elements that were used include merbau decking, bluestone pavers and Scyon Axon cladding screen. The result of this is a well-positioned, attractive addition to an already aesthetically pleasing garden. The team made sure that the garden bed continued into the pool area to adhere to the clients’ requests. The high timber screens, outdoor shower and quality stonework all create the perfect environment for this pool to be the focal point of family gatherings.
